We work with local farmers across California for our ingredients to make all of our products. From our spinach, flour, and olive oil, to each of our vegetables, we know where all of our food comes from.

At Bolani, we source all of our ingredients with care.

When our founder first learned how to make Bolani flatbreads from her grandmother in her homeland, they harvested all her ingredients from her own garden together.

That ethos continues today. We began selling our flavorful Bolani flatbreads and tasty vegan sauces in farmer’s markets across Northern California. We got to know our neighbors at each market, and became friends with spinach and squash farmers, olive oil pressers, and grain millers all selling their homegrown products to others.

We established important partnerships and work with people who share our values — respect for the earth, celebrating local agriculture, sustainable practices, and who place great value in knowing where your food comes from. Our partners have become integral to our business, and we want all of our customers to appreciate the time, love and care that goes into each one of our products.

Grains & Flour

Central Milling

Central Milling is an employee-owned mill, proudly located in Utah. WIth a truly diverse offering of ancient grains and more modern flours, we love their attention to detail, array in products, and excellent customer relations. We’ve sourced all of our flours from Central Milling from the beginning. They truly are the gold standard for the essential ingredient in our bolani flatbreads.

 

Produce

Capay Farms

Our produce is grown in Orland, CA, by Capay Farms — for over three decades, they’ve grown exceptional produce with their environmental footprint in mind. They’re leaders in building sustainable, clean systems into their planting, crop maintenance, and harvesting operations, and we think their products are superior because of time, attention, and dedication their team puts into each crop.

 

Spinach

Muzzi Family Farms

We love working with the Muzzi family to source all of our spinach, found in our Original Spinach, Whole Wheat Spinach, and Gluten Free Spinach bolani flatbreads. Began over 50 years ago in Salinas, CA by Dominic and his wife Martha, their products are superior, and their customer service is above reproach. We appreciate their local farms’ dedication to only the freshest produce being harvested and distributed. You can taste the difference! Olive Oil

Ciuti Oil

Ciuti Olive Oil is an old friend! We met at a Farmer’s Market as vendors, and years later we still receive our olive oil direct from pressing! They work exceptionally hard to source only the finest speciality imported oils, and create their own olive oil for their food service customers looking for a truly exceptional taste, developed and crafted with their needs in mind. Our vegan pestos, hummus, and dips are created with Ciuti’s olive oil, so the next time you enjoy one of our spreads or dips, savor it!

Walnuts & Almonds

Rodin Ranch

Rodin Ranch is a longtime Stanislaus County grower of only the finest walnuts, almonds, and other nuts. Run by sisters Marie and Angie, they began selling nuts grown by their father on their family farm. From 1969 onwards, the Rodin family are experts on growing the best walnuts around! We use their nuts in our pestos and sauces, and love that we can source all of our products from such high quality, local growers.

Citrus

Voila Juice

What began as a local citrus stand in Berkeley, CA in front of a BART train station has grown to a citrus empire in Northern California! Voila Juices is the go-to distributor for only the freshest citrus in Northern California. They receive shipments from local California farms daily, ensuring that with each press only the freshest, most delicious lemons are juiced. It’s what Gary Boland, one of the original partners, prioritizes most: only the freshest, ripest, and flavorful citrus goes to market. Taste their fresh lemon juice in our sauces, like our pestos, or flavored hummus!
